TROOP 2 NOTES 8 Mar 2010
Well here we go. We are looking for any
Adults that are free this weekend to go along with Carder. Bob is not
Feeling too well. If you are interested PLEASE let me know as soon as
you can. If Any Adults would like to go you are more than welcome to
come the more the something i am not for sure? See ya Friday. Oh Also I
will miss the Monday Meeting on 15 of March I have a DAV Meeting. Have
a good Week!!

Tonight we talk to the Scouts about up coming camp outs and why we are planning for them. Also once we are sign up for them not to back out from them at the last minute. (With out a liable excuse not because I do not want too) Once you do this it cause logistical problems for the scouts and the adults too by either buying to much food or having not enough space available. That is why we have at least three months to six month date out so we will not interfere with dates from other events or other events interfere with us!!
- For March 12-14 Camp out: we have Landon, Austin, Thor, Tim, Jacob, Zack K, Sam W, Zach L Nathan, Christopher and Casey. The Cost is $15. We will meet at 5:30 Friday at the Storage room and load and get ready to leave for Devils Den. We will come Back Sunday at 12:00 pm
- Bill Pevehouse had a scoutmaster conference with me and did quite well. He is ready for his next step on his Eagle Rank!! Keep it Up.
- Troop 2 will be
going to Summer Camp at KIA KIMA in Eastern Arkansas
near Hardy Arkansas. Here is a Link to the camp Web Site. http://www.kiakima.com/
campprograms.shtml . There is a lot of information on it and it will answer the question that you need. You need to Sit down with your Scout and pick out Merit Badges that they want to take at Summer Camp. I would suggest at Least one Eagle Merit badge that they need please try to take. Also please have other in Mind for alternate merit badge just in case the one you want is full. Barry should have a list of Merit badge that they have completed and handed out to you so you will not do double the work. Remember all Scouts who want to go to summer camp will go! If you need help in a scholarship for Summer Camp please let us know so we can get enough funds to cover everyone the first time. - Here are the Scouts that I know who said they wanting to go to Summer Camp. Austin, Christopher C, Timothy, Zander, Nathan, Matt M, Zach K, Thor, Jaidyn, Zach L, Sam W, Josh, Nicky. That is 13 and we have Landon, Jacob, Patrick and possible Christopher McDonald who might go so a total of 17. Which that means Two Vehicles going to Camp and 4 Adults which two would stay for the week of the Camp. If you are interested in Helping please let us know. Summer Camp is 13-19 June.
- The Troop has a few Life Scouts working on their Eagle projects and they will need your help so be ready when they call. They need all the help they can get thank you!!!!!.
- The schedule looks like for the next months of camping. Mar: 12-14 Camping at Devils Den State Park, hiking and caving if open!!! Apr: 9-11 Camping at Redding or Ozone May: Spring Camporee is April 30 to May 2 at the old fort Gun Club. May 21-23 go Camping at Camp ORR. Jun: 13-19 at Kia Kima Summer Camp at the First part of Jun July: Jambo at AP Hill 100 years of Scouting
